Dear Derek, is it advisable to be hitting on two girls working in the same workplace, in the same work area and who already know each other as friends? Or, should I express interest in only one? I also heard that being cocky funny is a good idea.

Incorporate cocky funny slowly into you. Add a piece little by little. You can let both know that you like them, and even start competition between them over who might get you. But you have to be doing this projecting that you're a totally ballsy guy who doesn't give a shit what they think and you do whatever you want... meaning be cocky, funny, and somewhat detached from getting them or not. For instance, if one girl is upset with you for liking the other girl, you have to tease her a bit and bust her balls.
If this is NOT the kind of energy you're projecting, I suggest practicing before hitting on two girls at a time. And, cocky funny does work wonders, but you must practice.
